NotAgain — Privacy Policy

NotAgain ("the app") is built by ican2icon. Many of our users are students, some under 18, so we collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- No name, email or phone number is required. Your account is an anonymous random identifier created on your phone.
- Your study data: the mistakes you record (subject, chapter, topic, question text or photo, answers, reasons, notes), your review results, your exam choice, subjects, optional target score and exam date. This is stored on your phone and backed up to our server so you don't lose it.
- Usage days: which days you opened the app, used only to measure whether the app is helping students keep a review habit.
- Notification token (if you allow notifications), your time-zone offset, and your platform (Android/iOS), used only to send review reminders at a sensible local time.
- Subscription status from Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card or payment details.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not show your questions or notes to anyone. Share cards contain only achievement numbers, and only when you choose to share them.
- We do not collect location, contacts or any data from other apps.
Where it is stored
On your phone, and on our servers (DigitalOcean, Singapore region) over encrypted connections. Question photos are stored privately and can only be opened through short-lived links issued to your account. Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Students under 18
If you are under 18, please use NotAgain with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. Parents may contact us to review or delete their child's data.
Your controls
- Export: Settings → Export my data.
- Delete: Settings → Delete account permanently removes your data from our servers and your phone. See how to delete your account.
- Notifications can be turned off any time in Settings.
Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. Deleted accounts are removed from the live database immediately and from backups within 30 days.
